Activities

The SAAM project has organised different types of working activities and dissemination events to achieve the desired results.

Here you can have a look at them!

  • Expert mobility

    2020 - 2023
The role of the SAAM Expert appeared due to COVID. International mobility experts were the first to travel to Africa to check international travel logistics and requirements. The experts met with embassies and national institutions to disseminate SAAM, analyze the center's facilities and help the school team begin preparing the international department.
  • Staff Mobility

    2022 - 2023
The SAAM partnership was divided into working groups, peer groups, by country. First, professionals from European educational centers visited their African peers to see first-hand the facilities and educational programs for the students. Afterwards, the African professionals carried out stays with their European counterparts to discover their methodologies, exchange knowledge and techniques and begin planning the students' programs. Around 200 VET school professionals traveled with the SAAM program.
  • Student Mobility

    2022 - 2023
Student mobilities were divided into two flows. On the one hand, there were students who spent a month in Europe receiving training in European partner centers. In the second flow, there were groups of students who carried out two-month mobilities: the first month receiving training at the vocational training center and the second doing internships in companies. In addition to the training, the students lived immersed in the culture of their destination country by carrying out different cultural activities.
  • Seminars

    2022 - 2023
The SAAM Seminars were three different trainings. They were meant to teach how to organize international travel, set up an International Department, and form strong partnerships. Two were in Brussels, Belgium, and one was in Bilbao, Spain.
  • Meetings

    2020 - 2024
In addition to the seminars, SAAM organized different transnational meetings. After Meeting 0 in Brussels, when international travel was allowed again after the pandemic, the Kick-Off Meeting was organized in Nairobi after an online version that launched the work. Afterwards, several meetings to check the progress of the project took place, such as those in Luanda, Rome or Dakar. Finally, the partnership met again in person for the last time in Praia for the Final Meeting. All these meetings have been accompanied by many other online sessions and work in peer groups.
